      Frontend Developer Interview

      Aug 1, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Hamburg
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Jimdo (Hamburg) in Jul 2019

      Interview

There are three steps in the application process. The first step is a coding test, the second one is a hangout interview, and the third one is a trial day. I already had a very good impression about the company when I talk to the people in the hangout interview. In the hangout interview, I spoke to a group leader and a senior developer. They did not ask very hard technical question, but more about your experience, and your understanding of the position you are applying for. They also clarified a lot of questions for me. I was invited for a trial day some hours after the hangout interview, they are very efficient. In the trial day, I was asked to complete a task with a senior developer. The task was not very hard, and it felt like the kind of task a developer would need to face when working in Jimdo. I liked the company even more after seeing their office and public area, people are super friendly and casual. And luckily, I get an offer the next week and I accept it happily.

      Jun 27, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jimdo in Jun 2018

      Interview

I never had any contact with any human. It seems as everything was automated. I got an email asking me to fill a few basic HR questions afterwards, I got another email which didn't make sense as if it was replying to someone else asking me to do an Assignment. Two weeks after finishing my assignment, I got a rejection email telling me that I was not selected for a position I didn't even apply to and that my background didn't match to what they were looking for. This is something they should have done before making me waste my time on an assignment.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The assignment was about writing a backend rest API service and I was applying for a Frontend Position.
