      Scientific Editor Interview

      Aug 8, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Cambridge, MA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at JoVE (Cambridge, MA) in Mar 2012

      Interview

Very short interview, not typical for most positions at "this level". I say that because what was told in the interview process by the former manager in terms of salary and job description. I am embarrassed to say I accepted the offer, but left as soon as I could find another position. If you see red flags, always go with your gut. I wish I would have.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Role play, a bit ridiculous for a PhD-level/scientific editor position. This should have been the first red flag.
