A video interview where you record your answer to a question about why you want to work with Johntry Appleseed. This was followed by a Discovery Meeting where the owner discussed the company and its structure. However, the job description was misleading. In this interview, we learned that the pay structure is commission only (not something explicitly stated in the job description). Curriculum can take months and months to build effectively, and we would only get paid when/if a client booked a session that used our curriculum. She has no clients since it is a start-up, so I imagine it might take a while for a curriculum writer to make money - mainly to make fair compensation for the amount of work involved in curriculum writing. That felt too risky, but maybe it would suit someone else. I wish a commission-only pay structure was included in the job description because I wouldn't have interviewed and wasted my time and her time. (For reference, the job description said the pay was 500-2500 per month for a part-time contract position, and there would be supplemental commission pay).
