I went through a 2-month process for the Analytics Engineer role at Joon Solutions, starting from an assessment, followed by multiple technical and case interviews, and ending with a final technical demo for the CTO.
Until the last round, the process felt fair and professional, the earlier interviewers were great, and communication was organized. But the final presentation round with the CTO was disappointing. He seemed disinterested, did not maintain eye contact, and gave no constructive feedback despite the significant effort that went into preparing the presentation and did not ask many questions about my demo. I valued the experience and took it as a learning opportunity.
I later learned the position had already been filled around the time of my final interview. That made the entire experience feel pointless. My time was not valued when the decision had already been made.
Overall, it could have been a decent process if there had been transparency and respect for candidates’ time. I hope Joon Solutions improves its communication and avoids conducting interviews just for formality in the future.
