Jordan's Furniture interview questions

I was asked to interview onsite at their satellite corporate office along the I-95/128 belt in Dedham, which isn't that bad a commute from my house. Then they told me the interview was moving to their headquarters campus in Taunton, much further away. No reason given, but sure, OK. I go onsite, and the interview is conducted in a conference room with the hiring manager and 3 other IT folks... and the other 3 IT folks are all remote. The interview ends around lunchtime, and the hiring manager leaves, and I just go back to the parking lot to eat lunch in my car. So a hundred-mile round trip for what ends up being a largely virtual meeting was frustrating. The average tenure of the IT folks involved in the interview, from what I could gather, was at least 20-25 years. In my book, that's both good and bad. I think what ended up not working in my favor was that I've worked in lots of places throughout my career, and most of those roles resulted in downsizing, outsourcing and layoffs. For whatever reason(s), that is seen as a failure on my part. What people seem to NOT see is that I bring a multitude of experiences from various industries to the table, and thinking outside the box is a good thing. But I suppose not for Jordan's.
