Journal Star interview questions

I applied online and received an e-mail invite to interview within 2 weeks. The HR manager and department manager were present at the interview. For the first 10-15 minutes, a number of typical canned questions were asked. The HR manager wasn't especially friendly- both verbals and non-verbals. If I had to do it over again, I'd prepare for the routine, canned questions. The HR manager explained that employees were expected to subscribe to the newspaper. The HR manager promised a follow up activity but didn't follow through. I won't buy any newspaper from them now.

It was not a typical interview and hiring situation because I knew the manager personally. I did hear the screening process isn't takin seriously because there is so much turnover.
