I had a phone interview with one of the company’s partners. This person had neglected to review my portfolio beforehand and was clearly looking for very specific experience with analytics that were not part of the job description when I applied. He also described how Juhll was innovative because they do not use any of the UX processes that I present myself to be an expert In (wire framing, journey mapping, personas). Had Juhll’s team created an accurate job description and reviewed my portfolio, it would have been immediately clear to both of us that I would not be a fit. I wouldn’t have even applied. Instead, these oversights caused time to wasted for both of us.
