Interview
After sending a resume, I was contacted by the Assistant News Director and asked to send a show tape of that evening's newscast. After sending it, I was invited to fly out for an in-person interview. I was flown out, picked up at the airport - then spent the day at the station interviewing with producers, the Assistant ND, as well as the ND. I sat in on assignment meetings, and was asked to write several shows for the newscast.
The job offer was made during the drive back to the airport that evening - very quick turnaround.
