Kane Partners interview questions

The day after applying for a position advertised online by Kane Partners I was contacted by one of their recruiters. We discussed the position and agreed that I was a good candidate, so he arranged an interview with the client within a few days. I felt the interview went well, and immediately after speaking with representatives of the client the Kane recruiter called me and said they called him right after the interview to let him know they felt I was a great fit for the position. That was the last I heard from him. I sent several emails asking if there was any update from the client, but never got a response. I still see Kane recruiting for the same position so obviously the client did not make an offer, but I think it was very unprofessional of the Kane recruiter to not let me know I was not selected for the position or respond to my email requesting an update.
