Interview
Karman+ scheduled an interview 3 weeks after I applied, and the initial video screening went fairly well. No hard or technical questions - It was mostly a get to know you and put a face to the name interview. At the end of the interview the recruiter requested to proceed with more rounds of interviews with the hiring manager and team members. However, after a week there was no follow up. Very unprofessional in my opinion as they didn't even respond back when I reached out (Possible there were layoffs, but I cannot verify).
There were a few red flags raised during the interview and it felt like I was being used as free consultation at times.
For example, Karman+ is not planning to develop any hardware or infrastructure themselves. They are relying on other space companies to build, integrate, test, communicate, and provide on-orbit mission operations. There was also an unclear image on how the company will become profitable or even sustainable in the future and I got the sense that they will not be around after the first launch in 2026.

Interview
My experience with the interview process is basically a carbon copy of the review from Nov 4.
Initial interview scheduled which gaged my interest for the job and allowed me to speak about my background. Really positive interaction and super promising with what seemed like a guarantee for more interviews to follow. Days go by, then weeks, with no communication whatsoever. Further they request to record your interview (which you can opt out of). Interesting concept for a company, just feel a bit duped by the whole experience.
