The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kimia Solutions in Jan 2025

      Interview

I recently went through a frustrating hiring process with this company. Initially, I was contacted by an external recruiter via LinkedIn, who asked me to send my CV. They informed me that the process consisted of two technical interviews. After two weeks of silence, I reached out for feedback, and I received it almost immediately. However, the feedback I received did not seem appropriate for a supposedly junior position, except for one valid point. Most of the negative comments were related to subjective preferences on how they expected things to be done, rather than objective criteria. These are things that could have been discussed in daily work, but not as a deciding factor for a hiring process. As a result, I was rejected. But it didn't end there. Three days later, the recruiter contacted me again and told me that my test was evaluated with senior-level expectations instead of junior. They said I was still in the process, but now there would be another interview with HR. The HR interview turned out to be a third interview, even though I was initially told there would only be two. During this interview, they asked me about my past jobs—questions that were already covered in the so-called "first interview." There was also a short conversation in English to "assess my level," despite the fact that I had already completed the previous technical interviews in English without any issue. In the end, I was rejected again because they were looking for a "more senior" profile, which raises concerns about their internal communication and organization. Overall, it felt like HR and the engineering team were not aligned, leading to a disorganized and frustrating experience. It seemed like they were unsure of what they were looking for, and candidates end up paying the price for their lack of clarity.

Thank you for your comment. We're so sorry the recruiting process was so confusing. We do our best to ensure our teams are aligned to avoid such experiences. We can assure you it's not the standard. We'll speak to our teams to understand what happened and make sure it doesn't happen to future candidates. Once again, we appreciate the feedback. Best, Kimia Team
