Entry Level - Marketing/Advertising/Customer Service Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at King Marketing (Houston, TX) in Sep 2014

      Interview

I used monster.com to apply to this job, and once you apply to this job, you will receive a email from the secretary at the office requesting an interview. Call back the number and contact the listed person as soon as possible to schedule an interview. Afterwards you'll be able to attend the first round of interviews. Arrive early and bring 2 resumes because there is always a chance of traffic and the location of the office off a highway. When you arrive there you will find alot of people in the waiting room all waiting for a one on one interview with a interviewer. I came right on time and had to wait an extra 20 minutes so they could finish up with all the previous interviewers. The office had some problems receiving my application so they asked several of the people including me to fill out a similar application on paper and attach resume. So during this time, make yourself comfortable and stay relaxed. Stay hydrated and make sure you have done some research from the company website. The office atmosphere is extremely laid back and welcoming so don't worry too much and if you feel uncomfortable, just excuse yourself. The several offices were buzzing with multiple interviews going on. The office is part of a large complex and there is plenty of places to go if you don't want to go just sit in that waiting area. However make sure you don't miss your interview! The interviewer came out and shook my hand, during this time make sure you firmly shake his/her hand and greet them. I went into a office and in a typical corporate office I started talking to the interviewer. Usually by the time the interview is finished they will let you know someway that you are invited back to a second interview. If not, consider its an informal "No", but please note after speaking to the secretary she did tell me that the office may sometimes call/email back interviewed applicants for a second interview without prior notice. Its either that same day or a later date but its done usually on the same day.
