      Account Manager Interview

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kit Check (Washington, DC)

      Interview

Reached out to the company expressing my interest in them and my background. Was invited to submit an application and got scheduled to come in and meet with some of the team. The interviews took place over the course of one day. I interviewed 4 staff members, one-on-one, in back-to-back sessions, over the course of about 3 hours. It was tough to stay "on" for so long but it was more conversational than simple Q&A. And everyone was courteous, respectful, and showed a genuine interest in getting to know me.

      Account Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kit Check (Washington, DC) in Oct 2017

      Interview

After applying for the position online, I was contacted by their HR manager for a phone screen. This process took 20-30 min. Then, the following day, I had another phone call with the hiring manager which took about 30 min and was a casual pleasant experience. After making it through this interview, I was scheduled for a four hour interview session where I interviewed with five employees. Each interview was a little different with some overlaying questions. What made this process negative for me was how the company handled the follow up from this interview. After taking the time and preparing for two phone screens and a four hour interview, the response I received was a "stock" email letting me know that they were pursuing candidates that more closely aligned with the role. My advice for this company is when they have someone undergo this much time and effort in an interview process, that at least a five minute phone call giving a little bit of feedback, or at minimum an email that feels more like a human response is necessary.
