N/A—A month later, I received a rejection email for an online application. The email stated, "We've reviewed your information and have decided to pursue other candidates whose skills and experience more closely match the qualifications and requirements for the position."
The language and positioning they used in the rejection communications was weak. I am a strong candidate with all of the experience, skills, qualifications, and requirements they seek in the Internal Communications Manager. Given my incredible experience, I was shocked not to receive an email requesting an interview. So, it's disappointing to see a rejection email positioned as if I don't have everything they are looking for when, in fact, I do, and I am the perfect candidate.
My feedback to Kraft Heinz recruitment is to improve your communications with candidates. If you're rejecting a candidate, a simple "We have decided to pursue another candidate" will suffice. There is no need to include the reason — less is more when communicating to a rejected candidate, especially in my case, where my qualifications, skills, requirements, and experience match the role.
