I applied online. I interviewed at Kranq Courier (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2017
Interview
I was interviewed by someone who had also just started with the company. They have a small one room office so other employees came in and out while the interview was taking place. Dont accept an interview here. I was trained by someone who had been working there for months unpaid.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kranq Courier (Calgary, AB) in Jun 2019
Interview
I dressed for the job I wanted, meaning I showed up in clothing I would bike in. Couriering is physical and dirty labour. I had shorts and athletic clothes on. Shawn, the owner, was obviously unimpressed and implied that I should have worn a tie or dressed up business casual, which seems utterly ridiculous to me.
They were, and still are, desperate for cyclists so I got offered the job but was already off on the wrong foot.

Asked if I was willing to ride in the winter and in the rain.

Interview
They said to come dressed as you would if you were working. I worried about having presentable attire at office buildings, but the other couriers dress terribly. It actually seemed like they were willing to take anyone.
