      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Oct 21, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at LeoVegas Group

      Interview

Applied via website after one or two weeks recruiter reached out via email. Then a standard recruiter phone screen encompassing my experience, some behavioral questions + description of the next steps. The next step was a alva labs test (logic + personality) The logic test was a pattern recognition test similar to what can be found in IQ tests. Once they are done the Alva shows you the results and the percentile you achieved. After some time I followed up and got a generic auto rejection email. Its annoying because the alva tests went pretty good - there had to be some other reason - which is fine - but then why to waste my time and ask me to the Alva tests. My suggestion is to not waste candidates time with assessments/tests if you are going to reject candidate regardless of its results.

      Question 1

standard HR questions about my experience and motivation. Then an Alva Labs tests.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at LeoVegas Group (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Jun 2026

      Interview

      1. HR Interview - Normal 2. Technical round with live code test 3. Technical round with design and core concepts The interview process was professional, but I felt there was a mismatch between the role requirements and my profile. The feedback indicated that the position required hands-on experience with some technologies. However, my resume did not mention experience with either technology, so this could have been identified during the resume screening stage. While I have a basic understanding of it, I never claimed hands-on experience. Proceeding through multiple interview rounds before identifying this mismatch resulted in unnecessary time and effort for both the interview panel and me. I would suggest ensuring that resumes are screened more closely against the mandatory technical requirements before scheduling interviews. This would improve the experience for both candidates and recruiters. In fact, I couldn't share my feedback with their team as their feedback was received from a noreply email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Basic Project details, core concepts of Spring Boot, and a live code test on the collection framework. Scenario-based questions, performance-related stuff, and the difference between technologies
