      QA Manager Interview

      May 12, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Huntington Beach, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LifeMD (Huntington Beach, CA) in Feb 2023

      Interview

I did not apply for the position. Instead, I was initially contacted on LinkedIn and phone screened by the company recruiter, then placed into the "final" interview w/ recruiter, would-be colleagues, managers, etc. Company seemed very desperate to fill this role. First strike, but it happens.. Most of the people on the call seemed pleasant and easy to communicate with. The technical questions I were asked were so simple, they were almost insulting. This was the second strike. Began to worry here.. As I started to ask questions, I was quickly able to tell that this function was understaffed. Not only that, their "unlimited PTO" policy sounded like a comp time policy -- work 80 hours one week and you can take off the next week. Three strikes you are out. Worst part of all, is that I thanked the recruiter afterward and offered some feedback if he were to do the same. Completely ghosted me. But you reached out to me first??

      Question 1

Was asked to QA a website live, then asked simple automation questions, then basic strategy questions.
