Interview process was very casual and short. I was shocked when the employer greeted me in sweatpants and hoody in the luxury showroom. I figured he was very laid back and this was his signature style, which I thought was pretty cool.
I was offered a job two days later. While he promised to update the employ agreement, which he told me he had no issue with any of my concerns/requests, I began to pack to list my house for sale and look for a new home in Dallas to relocate in one week I was given since he wanted me to start ASAP. By the way, the offer letter was very poorly written and raised a lot of questions. Some are very vague and lacked transparency. While I was juggling my one week of time given to complete these impossible tasks, the employer must have change his mind and decided to pull the plug. He won’t even respond nor answer my call. He only texted me back once after I tried to call and told me he was going to send everything soon but nothing after that. I told him I was already packed up and ready to list my home and I needed the offer letter to be able to purchase a home I’m interested in. Still no response. It would have been nice if I was given some closure in professional manner.
