Interview
Went through a few rounds quite quickly. Had to do a presentation for the last round. I thought I did decently and was told there were lots of opportunity. Unfortunately did not get the offer despite feeling like I did well and waited a bit for the results.
Started with a 15-minute phone screen and was then moved to second and third round interviews. During the second round, compensation was discussed and the base salary mentioned was lower than what I currently make. I asked whether there was flexibility and shared the range I was targeting. I was told we could revisit that conversation in the third round. After completing the final interview, I was informed that the base compensation was not flexible. It would have been helpful to know that earlier in the process, as it likely would have saved time for both sides. The interviews themselves felt more like a grilling than a conversation.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to make last minute adjustments.
How do you stay organized at work?
I had a 20 ish minute long phone interview with Melanie. It was pretty good and she was very friendly, there was lots of conversation about the culture at Linqia and opportunities for advancement. Entry level position was starting at $50k with a $5k raise every 6 months for 2 years, ending up with a $70k salary, which sounded pretty good.
