There were two interviews. The first was conducted via Skype and the second was conducted in-person. Both interviews were laid back and pleasant.
However, not only was the interview process very lengthy- the person doing the interview made repeated statements that she did not follow through on. During the first interview, for instance, she said she would be sending me a case study to complete. This was not done in the six weeks preceding the second interview. Then, before the second interview, she said she would be sending the same "materials to review before the interview." This was not done. And when I emailed a follow-up to inquire about them, she said she had been busy and would be sending them soon (even though the interview was to happen in a few days). And yet, they never appeared.
Finally, Rural LISC never bothered to contact me regarding their final decision for a hire, even going so far as to ignore my follow-up email (sent two weeks later). I enjoyed meeting the employees from LISC and left the meeting feeling a profound respect for the job they have done. However, that respect has been eroded by the pattern of the lack of professionalism shown.
