It started off with an HR screen and from how it went, me and HR hit it off pretty well. After that, it went to another screener with the two tech leads. Then I was invited to an in-person interview with HR and three other leads. The in person round was split into cultural and behavioral questions, plus a resume deep dive for the first half, and technical/live coding questions for the second half. The technical questions touched on both frontend and backend, and they had me walk through my thought process as I coded.
Overall, the process was professional and well structured. The interviewers were persistent and detail oriented, especially when digging into metrics and resume experience. It felt intense at times, but fair. It was one of the coolest interviews I’ve done, and while I’m super bummed I didn’t make it, I’d love the chance to go again. The company seems solid and I hope our paths cross again.
If you're applying, definitely spend time prepping for the cultural questions and researching their values. They're big on team alignment and values, and I realized after the interview that it’s an area I could’ve done better in. Tech skills are important, but showing you fit into their culture is just as key.
It’s worth noting that it took about three weeks after the in person interview to hear back, and ultimately all candidates were rejected. The role has since been reopened. Despite the outcome, I still left with a really positive impression of the team and would gladly interview again.
