      Finance Manager Interview

      Dec 5, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Loop (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2025

      Interview

Disorganized hiring process and shifting priorities — clear red flag I went through a 5-round interview process for a finance role that was consistently described as payment-operations focused. After completing the final interview, I was informed that the company had “reassessed priorities” and was now looking for someone with a completely different, highly technical finance-building profile. Making such a major change after all interview rounds were completed shows a clear lack of planning and internal alignment. Management should set clear priorities before bringing candidates through a lengthy process, and be more considerate of the time, energy, and preparation candidates invest. Candidates considering applying should be cautious and ensure they get clear, documented expectations upfront, as the company may shift directions unpredictably even after you complete all interview rounds. This experience highlighted significant red flags around communication and decision-making within the leadership team.
