The process was easy, screening call with recruiter followed by an interview with an ex member of the marketing team then with the marketing director, there was no presentation element, the ceo joined one call for a couple minutes. Honestly this organization is deeply racist and I would suggest avoiding them like the plague if you are a diverse candidate. The feedback I received showed the marketing director felt I was too knowledgeable and it might make others feel small but at no point had I ever been condescending, as I've led teams for years and I love mentoring and coaching my team members and helping them learn more to fill any knowledge gaps, I was asked technical questions so I answered honestly, but somehow that was a problem. They also have very limited marketing activities happening. They are only doing the bare minimum and there is no room for creativity. Their processes sound completely messy as well. The recruiter was amazing and so honest with me, and there was a distinct lack of diversity in their team except for the recruiter. It was clear to him from the conversations he witnessed that they were not looking for the most qualified candidate, they wanted someone white who looked like them, so if you are a diverse candidate, avoid them. The marketing director made up a story that I would want to leave after a year, which I never said, she was very fake friendly to my face though, even with the microaggressions she kept dropping.
