I gave my CV at a career fair at my university, got contacted 2 weeks afterwards to be assessed on my skills. First I had to do an online personality test. Afterwards, I had to travel to Madrid (costs are not paid by the company until final stage) where I took an English test, a case study and a competency-based interview. The case study was open on giving recommendations to improve productivity at a Cash & Carry.
I passed this round so I had to travel again to Madrid for the Assessment Centre. We were around seven candidates. First we broke the ice presenting ourselves selecting a 'Smurf' that best represented ourselves, had breakfast, after that we did a group dynamic. At the group dynamic we had to discuss on future recommendations for a Cash & Carry. I did not appreciate this exercise as interviewers valued better those who spoke over the others, instead of qualitative inputs or inviting other to speak. After that there was a Role Play were you discussed with the interviewer the problems with your employees at a specific store and how would you achieve better sales results. If you passed this round you went on preparing an Individual case study and presenting it to a top Sales Manager.
If you passed this phase you were sent to a European Assessment Centre with similar tasks, you are assessed against all candidates regardless of nationality.
