Initially they conducted a written test comprising of 50 marks-aptitude and 50-marks-Technical/core. You need to score more than 25 marks in each/individual. Aptitude is quite easy as i have prepared well. Questions will be in CAT level.. few of my friends who are good at academics could not clear the written exam. So major preference is to be given to aptitude.. for Technical 50 marks you need to thorough enough with the subjects -- it covers all basics and hard core subjects involved.. Paper will be little tough. so only few will clear the exam..
Generally to attend Madras Cements written exam you need to have distinction i.e, you should not fail any time in any exam during your academics.. that is you should not have back log history..
So out of 26 in the class , 15 have distinction and in that 15 members who appeared for written exam , only 5 could clear the written and later followed by 2 technical interview and one got rejected.. and finally i got selected for HR round and received the offer..
It also called other universities for written exam--Anna university and NIT surathkal.. From anna university no one could clear the written and from NIT surathkal only 1 got selected..
So overall the question paper will be Above average level.. it is little hard i say..
