Interview
The interview process for MMDC under Malayan Colleges Laguna consisted of three rounds: 1. An interview with the head of the college 2. A sample lesson, during which the panelists acted as students, followed by a panel interview 3. An interview with the program head to discuss my availability and the role, with the promise of a job offer after Before the promised offer was made, I was asked to provide my salary history and portfolio. After submitting this information, I was asked for additional proof, which I provided in the form of my tax returns. Despite the long process, the college ultimately could not offer me a position because they claimed they were unable to meet my salary expectations, even though I was never asked about them. I was only asked about my minimum rate for my current projects, which is not the same as my salary expectations for the role. I was disappointed, as I had been willing to accept a considerable salary cut to teach at the tertiary level, having asked the head of the college about the salary range during the first interview. I decided to move on and thank them for the opportunity because I did not want to negotiate against myself. This whole process could have been handled better to avoid wasting the time and resources of both sides.
