I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Malka Media in Jun 2023
Interview
I had gone on a pre-planned vacation and made it clear that I would be interested in interviewing with MALKA once I returned. They pressured the recruiter to set up a call anyway and I reluctantly agreed. On the day of the interview, I had to hurry back to the hotel to take this very urgent call that could not be re-scheduled. I logged onto the meeting invite and....nobody's home. I waited 5 mins before pinging the MALKA team; they wanted to re-schedule. In fact, they re-scheduled it 4 times before finally telling me that they weren't interested. What?!? Hey, requirements change at creative agencies, I understand that. What I don't understand is why toxic places like this keep operating like it's still 1950. If your time is valuable, so is the time of the person interviewing. Have some basic respect for the people you interview; there's a human being behind every interview you blow off or candidate you ghost.

Question 1
Q: Can you upend your vacation to schedule a call that the team is going to blow off anyway?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Malka Media (New York, NY)
Interview
I had 3 interviews for this role only to be ghosted after the
last interview with a co-founder. In the 2nd round of
interviews I was asked to reschedule, not even with an hour notice, and this happened on 3 separate occasions. This was also paired with 2 weeks of radio silence when trying schedule another time to meet. It seemed like a good
opportunity after my first interview but hearing about the
work-life balance and being asked to reschedule
repeatedly, the red flags were hard to ignore. I wanted to
see it through to the end but to only get ghosted after the
final round solidified my suspicions that they don't treat
their candidates with respect.
