      Digital Content Creator Interview

      Jun 16, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mark Cross (New York, NY) in May 2019

      Interview

Stay away from this company. This interview process is nothing but brain drain. After an in-person interview with the hiring manager that seemingly went really well, she requested that I complete a take-home content creation project. I worked on it for the better part of an entire weekend as it was quite intensive. For part one of the project, she asked for several pages of copy for potential social posts as well as strategic recommendations on social art direction and execution. For part two of the project she asked for a fully designed email, for which I also wrote copy. After submitting the assignment, I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE. I obviously spent a lot of time on it and felt it was very well done, but even if the hiring manager thought I wasn't a good fit, I think she owed me a response. Very unprofessional and definitely a red flag, in my opinion.
