I was contacted shortly after applying for this position and was very excited! I saw great reviews for the company on here and liked their website. However, there were a few red flags. The first was initially when I was asked to give times for the interview. I did just that, but all the times I gave were ignored and they chose a time completely outside of any of those ranges instead. I politely declined that time and suggested another that was a bit closer to what would work for them, but had to shift things around in my schedule to accommodate. When the time for the actual interview came, no one called me. I waited and waited and finally sent the interviewer an email asking if there was something keeping them from calling me and if they would like to reschedule. They emailed me back immediately saying they thought I was going to call them! First, why would I call you when I don't have a phone number for you. Second, they told me multiple times in our original exchanges that they would call me, and confirmed my phone number with me for that purpose. They apologized and asked to reschedule, but then suggested another time that once again (surprise!) didn't fit within any of the original time frames I gave them. It's like they can't go back and read any of their previous emails/messages. Like, just scroll up and you would see that no, that time didn't work for me before, so it definitely won't now. We finally settled on another time the same day to try again. When that time rolled around, I settled into a conference room that I had rented out and waited and waited AGAIN. After five or so minutes, I emailed the interviewer to confirm that I cannot call them because I have no phone number for them and that they would need to call me. Their immediate response told me they were stuck on another call and it would be another 20 minutes until they could call me. We all get stuck on calls, so I understand, but considering you've already missed an interview with me once, I would've hoped that you would respect my time this time around and not schedule your calls back to back to ensure you could make this one on time. I waited the 20 minutes then received another email that they would call me soon, and then I waited another 20 minutes. I only had my conference room for about 15 minutes so I emailed again to say that if it would be much longer, we should reschedule, as any less is not enough time for a quality interview. I waited STILL and finally just called it quits because I had another meeting to attend. They wasted HOURS of my time. If I am willing to respect your time, please have the decency to respect mine. It was extremely unprofessional and left a horrible taste for the company in my mouth. I emailed them to respectfully say that I no longer had any interest in pursuing the position and to wish them luck on their search. The kicker is that almost a full hour and half after the time I was supposed to have my rescheduled interview, the interviewer called me. I hit decline.
