I interviewed at Markit (Copenhagen, Capital Region)
Interview
Had a screening with a very sweet, professional person who asked me about my experience and described the company and why she joined.
The second interview was with HR and the hiring manager, and it was very odd. To be fair, the internet connection was bad, which they blamed me for. Either way, the hiring manager didn’t seem to understand my experience and was all over the place.
Mid-interview, they asked, “Why Markit, and what do you know about it?” It felt like they were just asking random questions. When it was my turn to ask questions, he once replied that he refused to answer and wanted me to answer my own question. I didn’t like that.
They said the role is for a Key Account Manager, but the title is misleading. In reality, they are looking for a Business Developer or Account Executive, as about 80% of the job is focused on new business. Usually, key account management means being responsible for the firm’s most important key accounts/clients.
