Very, very simple: I had a brief conversation with the regional supervisor, we talked about flowers, my availability and general interests, and music we both like. I was shown the garden center, took a quick saliva swab drug test, and was advised that I'd hear from my manager as soon as everything went through with HR. I received a confirmation email from them about a week later containing my user ID and login for their mobile time management app, and started two days later.

I answered a Craigslist ad. The manager called and invited me to interview at the store. We met at the Home Depot store where I would be working, she asked me a few questions, showed me around, and asked me to fill out an application. She told me to come back in two weeks to start the job.
