I completed the first stage, a phone interview. The interview was your standard job questions. Though, when I asked the interviewer about their work culture, she clammed up. She said, "What do you mean?" I elaborated, "I'm asking what the office environment is like there?" She described it as "intense, having high expectations, going above and beyond, doors are always open, data driven at times, hard work." Then I guess she realized this didn't sound too positive. She said, "Oh, we're the most fun department, we all get along like family."
I didn't have anything to say. That had sealed the deal for me.
