I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Materials Modification (Fairfax, VA)
Interview
Three step interview process. The first was an interview with an employee and the second was with my would-be supervisor. The third stage was with the head of the company. All steps were face-to-face in a conference room setting.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Materials Modification (Merrifield, VA) in Jul 2021
Interview
Brief phone screening followed by in-person interview with principal scientist and CEO. Questions were reasonable, but the company could not offer a reasonable minimum salary for a PhD level position. The interview became manipulative as the CEO asked questions such as "How are you paying your bills right now?" and tried to tell me that I would not be able to find another job in the area for the salary I was asking.
