Most unprofessional experience I've had in 10 years in marketing. I was contacted via email for an interview for a position in marketing. I arrived 10 minutes early per usual. Like most people, I'm employed, so this meant actually leaving work to do this. Upon arrival, literally nobody knew who I was or why I was there. The hiring manager was apparently not told I was coming, and the recruiter who set it up was out of the country. I guess they did not have time to do the interview then. This was annoying and unprofessional, but mistakes happen I guess. Truthfully I didn't really care that much at this point and had no interest in a company this inconsiderate of my time.
Two weeks later I get an email that they are moving forward with other candidates. I laughed out loud when I got this, that nobody at least took me off the canned reply list for rejected candidates. It's what happened next that irked me and spawned this review. HR graciously apologized to me, yet mentioned the hiring manager "emailed me and did not receive a reply." That's a 100% lie, it did not happen. So, at that point, I feel as though people researching this company should know what they are dealing with. Very grateful I dodged this place.
