The process took about a month in total and was very smooth and well-organized. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in understanding my background and motivations. Communication was timely throughout.
Round 1: Introductory Interview
The first round was with an associate from the firm. It was conversational and focused on my experience, how I approached problem-solving, and why I was interested in Metis.
Round 2: Case + Experience Deep Dive
The second round combined a case discussion with questions about my prior experience. The case was practical, touching on business and data strategy topics, and I appreciated that it reflected real client situations. The interviewer guided the conversation well and encouraged structured, logical thinking. More focused on strategy than any quant.
Round 3: Panel Interview + Presentation
The final round involved a behavioral interview with a panel, followed by preparing a deck and presenting it. The time to prepare the presentation made this stage more challenging, but it was a fair way to demonstrate communication skills, clarity of thought, and how you’d approach a client-facing scenario. The panel was engaged and provided thoughtful feedback.
