      Junior Software Developer Interview

      Jul 15, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Lumberton, NJ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Miles IT (Lumberton, NJ) in May 2018

      Interview

Applied online. Received an email to a personality and code knowledge assessment. The assessment had broken images (of what I assume were diagrams) for some questions. After the assessment, was called by one of their HR team for a short behavioral interview (standard stuff, why Miles, discussing past employment.) Said they wanted to schedule a video technical interview, but never responded to repeated requests to schedule one. I'm sure it's a great place to work, but ghosting me that deep into the process left a bad impression.

      Question 1

Questions about C# vs JavaScript, SQL queries, etc.

      No offer

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Miles IT in Feb 2018

      Interview

I applied to this position on Dice. I was contacted by a recruiter and then took multiple logical assessments. I was then moved to next step which was 1hr assessment using CodePen. You must use AngularJS, jQuery, and Bootstrap to create functionality that markets your skills and includes a list of items which can be updated by the user's form input. I then had a 30 minute phone interview which was not at all technical. I created the application with no issues and implemented as requested. I then received an email the following day saying that I was no longer being considered. There were absolutely no challenging questions and I had no problem creating the application requested in the practical. I have the education, training, and experience and this position provides training. There is absolutely no rationalization to pass on me as a candidate as the only technical inquiries were passed with no issues. The process was a complete waste of time.

      Question 1

Use CodePen to create an application which markets your skills and implements a list which can be appended with user input using AngularJS, jQuery, and/or Bootstrap.
