This was a virtual panel interview with video. They were nice, but energy was low. overall took less than 35 mins. I would recommend having good knowledge of what MCC does and how they fit into the international development scene.
Straightforward - no tough questions. If you have prepared/practiced answers for typical interview questions such as Why MCC? What does MCC do? How do you work in teams? then you will be fine.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Millennium Challenge in Jun 2021
Interview
I applied online in May 2021 and the first interview was with a panel of three other Program Analysts. I received an email from HR an hour after the interview saying they thought I was a perfect fit for the position and asked if I would be interested in meeting the a person higher up the organization. I agreed to the second interview and this is where things got strange. The person higher up in the organization never showed up to the first scheduled interview. We re-scheduled for the next week and it was very clear from the beginning of the interview that I would not be hired. I was asked why I wanted to work in the Africa region (I have an MA in international development, speak French, and had just finished an internship in Malawi) and it was very clear based on facial expression that the fact I was living on the West Coast was a problem. After this interview I never heard from MCC and HR did not respond to my email. I've applied to this position about five times since this happened and have never been interviewed again.
