      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mira (CA)

      Interview

The application was pretty simple, standard questions and then additional questions specific to the role. Required some effort but nothing crazy. Once you apply they will recah out to you if interested.

      Question 1

They asked about my experience of course, they also asked of my experience working in a start up environment and really ephasized this throughout the interview, It seems like they wanted to test if I was ok with kind of a chaotic work enviroment that was highly demanding...

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mira (CA) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I was excited to apply for a marketing role at Mira — the company’s brand positioning and mission really resonated with me. Here’s how it went: 1. Fast invitation — I got an interview invite just 10–15 minutes after submitting my application. Great first impression. 2. No-show interview — On the scheduled day, no one joined the call. No prior reschedule, no email. I followed up myself and ended up rebooking via an outdated Calendly link by manually navigating to the root calendar. Not ideal, but I stayed optimistic. 3. Interview happened — once we finally spoke, the conversation went well. My background matched the role, and we agreed to continue the process the following week. 4. Silence — a week passed. Then two. I followed up politely — no reply. I even messaged two relevant HR team members via LinkedIn. Still nothing. 5. One-month-later ping — My original contact (Ariana) reached out again, saying she had been on vacation and asking if I was still interested. I immediately said yes. I followed up again after… still no response. Initial interview was held at the beginning of April. I understand the market is brutal right now. But this kind of communication from a very beginning in a respected company is disappointing. I have also read previous review from a candidate who had made it to the final stage and was ghosted. That's just awful — such type of ghosting after requesting references from previous companies... What a shame. If you’re hiring — set up a standard auto-replies. It takes like what 1-2 hours of your time? Just manage everyone's expectations with communicating clearly. Or just send a 2-line update saying "sorry we have already shortlisted candidates for this position". Ghosting after interviews shouldn’t be the standard.

Just a standard screening interview flow — tell more about previous work experience, location-specific questions regarding contracts, paperwork details to clarify etc

      Interview

Initially, my experience with the interview process was very positive. Things moved quickly, and my conversations with various team members were engaging, productive, and refreshingly direct — no fluff, just genuine dialogue. I truly felt their interest, and it made me excited about the role and the company. I progressed to the final stage, where they even requested feedback from my previous employers. At that point, communication abruptly stopped. No update. No rejection. Just complete silence, despite being told I’d hear back. I followed up and was ignored for almost two weeks. I assumed they proceeded with another candidate, so, to confirm this assumption and move on, I followed up once again (basically chasing the recruiter at this point) to indeed learn they moved with another person. I understand and fully respect the decision to go with another candidate — that’s part of the game, and I hold no grudge about that. But ghosting a candidate after involving them in multiple rounds and even reference checks shows a serious lack of professionalism and basic respect for people’s time, effort, and personal resources invested in the process. I'm not sure whether this was a one-off case of recruiter negligence (Ariana) or a reflection of a broader company culture. Either way, it significantly damaged what was initially a very positive impression of the company. A simple, timely rejection email would have made a world of difference.
