      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ModernLoop in Jan 2024

      Interview

A bit all over the place but interviews went quickly and recruiter was very communicative. Typical questions, personal hobbies, what projects I have worked on, challenges and wins. Everyone I met with was very kind and transparent on the company and process.

      Question 1

What are some hobbies outside of work? What was your favorite class at university and why? How would you use the resources you have access to today, to learn a new topic?
      Answer question

      Interview

Expect several rounds for the interview process with different team members. Overall an average interview experience and pretty fast paced. I first interviewed with their head of customer success then the final interview with the CEO .

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ModernLoop (New York, NY) in Mar 2024

      Interview

Awful drawn out interview process. Their process screams startup and chaos. There was a ton of inconsistencies in the interview process. I felt like I was not their top choice and they were dragging their feet and keeping me warm just in case. No timeline for a decision told me whenever they find the right person. 1st week they moved me through the process fast. I had a recruiter phone screen, hr screen, then a 2 person presentation interview. In the hr screen I was asked in appropriate questions. I was asked what I like to do outside of work for fun as an ice breaker … red flag. I was also asked a silly hypothetical question. I was asked if I had no knowledge of stocks based on the yearly number of births how would I decide to invest in a company such as Johnson and Johnson. This opens ups the door for potential discrimination and its a flat out inappropriate irrelevant question to ask anyone let alone a woman. In all three interviews I was asked the same questions, rewalking through my resume, why do I want to work there, ask about my kpis, account size, segment etc. all redundant questions I answered previously. Team clearly does not communicate. During my power point presentation interview. I was thrown off. I had 1 hour to present information with the unclear script they sent before hand. It started off with one of the interviewers basically walking me through her resume then had me intro myself then started firing off random interview questions. It felt like she was on a power trip and asking questions just because she could. We then went into the actual presentation. At this point 15 minutes was lost due to the CRO asking ridiculous questions. The type of questions I was asked during my PowerPoint presentation did not make sense given the nature of the prompt I was sent. This same interviewer kept asking questions about reporting. This makes zero sense. Why would a new client ask so many critical reporting questions during a customer intro call?? The questions were taking a good chunk of time out of the presentation. So much so she interrupted me during the last 10 minutes and asked me if I could wrap up so she could ask more questions about my KPIs(questions I already answered at the start of the call). At that point I was wrapping up anyways but this only gave me limited time to actually present due to all the interview questions. After my interview I was expecting to hear back in 48 hours which I did not. I had to reach out to the recruiter. The recruiter eventually got back to me and told me the team had not made decisions and would let me know in a week. After reaching out again a week later the recruiter got back to me and asked to move me forward. She told me team was out of town for a week. Why would a company start the interview process for a job when you know your small company of 30 is going on a trip??? She asked for my availability for 2 weeks out. My next interview was scheduled 2 weeks out and it was a series of 4 one hour back to back interviews. Insanity. At the time of my scheduled interviews 3 weeks had passed. I knew there would be a 4th round but I did not know it would be 4 interviews scheduled back to back each an hour long. There were so many interviews a 30 minute break was scheduled. I was literally scheduled interviews with some of the same people I had already interviewed with including the CRO. Some of the interviews made zero sense. There was an interview scheduled with sales though this was a CSM position. There was another panel interview with the CRO and a CSM there was an interview with the hiring manager (the same one I had already interviewed with 2x) as well as the CEO. This would make a total of 7 one hour interviews for a job I may not get. I ultimately withdrew and went with another company
