I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MoneyLion (Kuala Lumpur) in Jan 2025
Interview
I have background of android development. Initially i applied online via applicant portal, Didn't get any screening call but it was clearly mentioned in the job description that engineers from native iOS/android development can also apply.
Stage 1 (20 dec 2024): Applied
Stage 2 (11 Jan 2025): Online Hackerrank Assessment -> Cleared
Stage 3 (21 Jan 2025): Live Coding Session -> Cleared
Stage 4 (07 Feb 2025): Interview with Hiring Managers -> Cleared
--- Right after the interview i received an email from TA, that i will be updated within 5 working days. Which seemed quite positive to me as they have clearly mentioned the timeline for making the decision.
--- After patiently waiting for 5 working days i tried to reach out to TA via email regarding the decision but didn't got any reply.
(24 Feb 2025) -> i received an email stating that "we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates" because "not having depth knowledge of React Native and hybrid development"
My Honest Review: Since 20th Dec 2024 they already knew my expertise lies with android only, still they proceeded with it and i didn't bluff anything about react native development in my Resume. I think either you rejected at first but don't make it a reason at the last stage after 2.5 months and number of interviews.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MoneyLion in Jul 2025
Interview
I applied through a recruiter, and the recruitment process was as follows:
HackerRank Assessment
Talent Acquisition (TA) Call
Live Coding Session
Interview with the Hiring Manager
I have experience in native iOS and Android development. Although both the recruiter and the job description indicated they were open to candidates with native mobile experience, it became apparent after the TA call that they were primarily seeking someone with React Native expertise. I also came across a review from another candidate who spent nearly 3 months progressing through the entire interview process, only to be rejected due to a lack of React Native experience. Fortunately, I only invested time in completing the HackerRank assessment and TA call before realising the misalignment.
