I sat through four separate interviews—ending with the SVP—only to be ghost-adjacent for a week and then told the role went to an internal hire.
Monks, if you always intended to promote from within, say it up front. Dragging external candidates through hours of prep and panel calls is disrespectful and screams disorganization.
This fiasco cost me time, energy, and trust. A “well-established” company should have the backbone to set clear expectations and respect candidates’ schedules. Until they fix their hiring process and practice basic transparency, I’d steer clear.
Bottom line: Great at wasting your time, not so great at honest communication.
