I recently had a video interview for a position at Monzo,
Interview Format: The video interview was conducted by the hiring manager and focused on both my technical skills and cultural fit within the company.
Questions: I was asked a mix of behavioral and situational questions, designed to assess how my experiences aligned with Monzo's values. There were also some role-specific questions that required me to demonstrate my knowledge and expertise related to the position.

Interview
1st interview was a short call with a Recruiter who was lovely followed by 2 more virtual interviews that were 1 hour each with members of the team.
The interviewers in the first round were really pleasant however one of the interviewers in the final round had known probably even before the call started that he would not progress me. He showed up late and didn’t apologise, his attitude also lacked any excitement or real interest about my experience, his energy was off from the start and it was very discouraging however I pulled myself together.

Interview
The process involved an initial phone call, a take home task, and onsite interviews. The initial call was with a hiring coordinator, who talked me through the role and asked some basic role questions. The follow up take home task involved working through two scenarios and giving your thoughts/ideas about how you would deal with each situation. Finally there were two onsite interviews (following each other), with two different members of the team in each. The onsite interviews were split into role specific, and then a general/cultural fit interview. This was a great balance as it enabled me to get a clear understanding of both the role, as well as Monzo as a company.
The overall process was effective and seamless. The communication with Monzo throughout was excellent and it gave me a great sense of the company. I was very excited to receive an offer and start working with the team.
