- The first introduction interview was held with the HR manager of this company. This interview served to present the company and its outsourcing business. The position itself would be within the Development team. Also, she described the client whose business is in the aero industry. I would really want to emphasize how nice and patient the interviewer was.
- She also mentioned the benefits of the company and accepted my suggestion regarding the job title change. The next interview was supposed to be with the client that the company is co-operating with. It is important to know that this wasn't a technical interview which is a lot easier since the entire process doesn't include any. I was told to get the confirmation for the next interview on the following day. Meanwhile, she had to check and confirm a schedule with the client. There was no response so I was forced to send a follow-up email to see what's happening. She apologized and informed me that she will have the info another day.
- Finally, the person that interviewed me called back and informed me that the client will not be moving forward with my application due to a lack of experience for this position. It's quite obvious there was a contradiction in what HR said and the client's response afterward. A strong suggestion for the company would be to first rename the job title since it was not relevant to the position. If you ask someone to be familiar with cloud environments and scripting, then you cannot categorize it as a "Linux System Administrator" role but a "DevOps Engineer". Also, I suggest caring more about other candidates and their time spared for the interview. Some information could have been provided more effectively which means a lot to persons that are employed and actively looking for a job at the same time.
