      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Moss (London, England) in Oct 2024

      Interview

The interview process has 4 stages. The first stage is with the talent acquisition partner, the second stage is with the hiring manager, the third is with the hiring manager and the VP of sales, and the final round is with management from the Berlin team. At the end of the second round, there is also a time-bound offline assessment where you have tasks like writing cold emails to prospective clients and LinkedIn outreach (around 20 minutes). They seem to emphasize a lot on cold calling as they did 2 to 3 role plays in multiple rounds, with past product/service and even with their product. They want you to be an expert on their product before you even join them. Overall, they were quite responsive and also offered feedback. However, the biggest drawback I would say is they don't provide any information at all about the interview stages. In this industry, I have given several interviews and they always provide clarity about the round. I hope this review helps in preparing for the interview as they will most likely only send the same template.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Moss (London, England) in Jan 2023

      Interview

Step 1: Call with internal Talent Team. Rob was fantastic throughout the whole process. From the get-go he was well informed on my background, excited about the role and team, and curious about my goals for the future. It created an atmosphere of trust but also fun, so I looked forward to every interaction I had with the Moss team thereafter. Step 2: Meeting with SDR Team Lead and AE Team Lead The call was casual in tone, but the topics discussed were complex - e.g. different approaches to prospecting, what has/hasn't worked in the past etc. It was a great atmosphere - I felt confident and comfortable, and excited to learn from them both. A great sign of the management to come. Step 3: Meeting with Head of Sales Another 45/1hr meeting to discuss in more detail my ambitions for the future, my performance in the past and the type of management I'm looking for. Again, relaxed and casual in approach but discussing high-level strategy or hyper specific details. All the way through I felt valued by the team and as if it was a two-way process, with as much time spent developing my interest and excitement for the role as proving my suitability. Highly recommend!
