      Policy Analyst Interview

      Nov 27, 2020

      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NABCA (Washington, DC) in Oct 2020

      Interview

First, they called me with a 10 minute screening interview. Pretty standard for a lot of companies. They liked what they heard, and I got a Zoom interview with the head of the public policy department and the head of HR the following week. The interview was fine. They asked basic policy related questions, and I thought I asked them pretty good questions as well. We left the interview off on a good note, and they said they would let me know by the end of the following week. I emailed them a thank you follow up email to no response. 2 weeks later, I emailed them another time asking where they were at in the process, no response. I called them and left a message a week later, no response. They ghosted me, and it definitely feeds into the narrative on the other reviews of how disorganized and unprofessional they are as an organization. This organization has been around for DECADES, you would think they would have some respect and courtesy to their applicants, especially in these economic times. I wouldn't hold your breath in applying, there are hundreds of jobs out there that won't deliberately waste your time.
