A recruiter reached out to me and set up a time to interview. She outlined the interview process which included 5 interview rounds including 2 panels with different groups of employees.I thought that was excessive but proceeded any way. I got through 2 grueling rounds , 2.5 hrs each, and was being moved to the next round, when they asked for my salary expectations. Only when I provided it did they reveal that this was an entry level position paying only $45k-$49k. Not only was it obscenely below my salary at the time and my future expectations, it was preposterous given the intensity of the interview process. I withdrew my candidacy and moved on. From my resume, it was CLEAR that I wasn’t an entry level candidate but they decided to waste my time any way. Organizations like this know what they are doing when they don’t include salary and position level. If they reach out to you, ask them to tell you the salary range for the job or walk. They’re a waste of time.
