Interview Process is not that sophisticated. Interview was for Data Scientist but they wanted me to hire for Data Engineer considering my prior engineering background.
They could have easily clarified this from the start . Took 3 rounds of interviews. It was waste of time and energy for both the parties.
I still did not know why i was not selected . if salary was the constraint again they should have clarified this at the start of the interview. no need to go through 3 round of interviews and waste everyone's time.
I guess clarity in what kind of roles they need to hire doesnt exist. I understand startups are not known for structure but still it would be better if the process is organized.
i would not receommend this company to anyone considering lack of clarity on what kind of people they want to hire.

What would be the hallmarks for you to consider switching from rules based to ML models?
Extremely bad experience. Co-founder is a ideal stealer. Please don't waste your time giving interview. It is no 1 SCAM .
Don't fall prey to the soft words with them. Most bad experience ever I can expect !!!
They don't have any sentiments for people's career they want to steal .

1. An initial call to understand my background and some screening data science questions
2. A take home assignment containing modeling as well as qualitative questions (the timeline expectations were very realistic)
3. A discussion on the assignment and further technical questions
4. A discussion with the CEO
All the interviews were mostly based on past experience (as mentioned in the resume) and my understanding of the credit industry and Data Science concepts.
