Applied shortly before New Year/Christmas holidays, and was contacted few weeks after for phone interview with VP of HR - a very pleasant and efficient interview about my background, work, etc. No meaningless questions. Two weeks after, I was called to schedule an in-person interview, which ended being on-line since I was not in Chicago. 30min 4-person panel, with a lot of quick questions - some were a bit awkward and tough, you need to think quickly, and towards the end it was a bit exhausting. I got a chance to ask questions (my choice was two), understand who would be my supervisor - from all the bits, work they do, position description, questions, and two answers it was quite clear what is the position like. Seems as a pleasant, no BS, efficient environment.
Same day, they sent me a very extensive personality/work style/critical thinking evaluations - first time I got to do a meaningful one which has a lot of open-ended questions. After a week, they requested a short writing sample. Few days after, I got an e-mail with clear explanation of why they are not able to extend me an offer, which was completely reasonable, and it was incredibly very nice that they informed me in such way treating me like a fellow human being and not an automated resume.
Bottom line: it was detailed and engaging interview process, in which I had opportunity to actually demonstrate my skills and personality, everything was clearly communicated throughout, and I was treated with respect.
