National Restaurant Association interview questions

In a world where AI filters and ATS systems are the blocker for most job openings. It is very refreshing to see that National Restaurant Association went old school and had an in-person interview. This solves the issue of applicants cheating online or being a fake person. It was also amazing that they did not ask a question / riddle where I had to answer correctly in a time crunch. It was just having a real conversation and understanding how I problem solve and think.

I applied online, after a month of submitting an application, a recruiter reached out to schedule a call. During a call, something weird happened, she called 30 minutes earlier and started asking why did I apply for this particular role. I was trying to answer, but the recruiter didn't like my answer. When I asked what does the typical day look like, I've received an answer that there is no typical day, which is a red flag for me. So, I'm partly happy that this company and me didn't work out.
