Hiring manager phone interview, technical panel interview, "organizational" panel interview. It was interesting that the HM did the initial phone screen. I was rather overqualified for this role, but hey, it's 2025 in tech. She straight up told me that she was "intimidated" to interview me because of the seniority, but I said I was coming in with eyes open and knew what the role and comp were and had already decided I was fine with it. Progressed on to the second/final round, which was two hour-long interviews across two days. The technical interview was with 8 (!) people, basically the entire engineering team. There was a live coding challenge which I was not told about beforehand, which I didn't exactly love. (Not that I am against all live coding per se, but it was a real surprise.) The organizational interview was with another large group. Quick rejection after that round, which is a bummer but at least they didn't leave me hanging. Strangely, the HM appears to have wanted to hire me (based on some e-mail correspondence) but the rest of the panel overrode her.
